The advent of COVID-19 put the brakes on professional sports all around the world, which resulted in a need for stay-at-home initiatives for fans, kids and parents. This sparked the New York Yankees to refresh their Yankees Kids brand and create a slew of stay-at-home activities for parents to entertain their kids amidst a serious health crisis. The activities were split into two age demographics (4–7 and 8+) and included Yankees themed coloring pages, mazes, word scrambles, trivia, crosswords, spot-the-difference illustrations, connect-the-dots, physical activities and games to play at home, recipes to make as a family, all tied in with a new logo and aesthetic. We also introduced all new illustrated Yankees themed characters based around the subject of baseball and things you might find around Yankees Stadium.
